Well, is this right?
-2(X-3)=X+5-3X
-2X+6=-2X+5
-2X+6+2X=-2X+5+2X
6=5
6-6=5-6
=-1
-2(X-3)=X+5-3X
-2X+6=-2X+5
-2X+6+2X=-2X+5+2X
6=5
6-6=5-6
=-1
-
-2(X-3)=X+5-3X
-2X+6=-2X+5
-2X+6+2X=-2X+5+2X
6=5
6-6=5-6
you are correct so far
0 = -1 (which it does not)
Therefore no solution.
-2X+6=-2X+5
-2X+6+2X=-2X+5+2X
6=5
6-6=5-6

you are. but you should have stopped at
-2X+6=-2X+5 you just cancel the -2x's out and you have 6=5
not all equations are honest. for example, i could say 2x-1 = 2x+4 that's just wrong.
btw, i've found it easier, when bringing the -2x across to think,
"Change the sign and put it on the other side of the equation."
That just works faster for me.
And i'm always looking to get homework done quicker.

no, because -3(-1-3)=-1+-3(-1) and 9 isnt equal to 3. you should have done
-2(X-3)=X+5-3X
-2X+6=-2X+5
-2x +6-5=-2x+5-5
five - five cancel eachother out so
-2x+1=-2x so -2 and -2 cancel eachother out so the answer is positive 1.
you were so close!

-2X+6=-2X+5
-2X+2X=+5-6
0=-1

0=-1

Yeah you are right.
as no x left behind in question.
so solution is not possible
