My teacher brought up the example of rain water trickling down a hill, since it forms several orthogonal trajectories as the rainwater travels perpendicularly to the hill. Can anyone come up with some more example?

orthogonal= 90 degrees. When you sit up, you are orthogonal to the seat :)
