I know it is a hyperbola but how can I explain on my assignment that the range is +infinte. Although I have to that Sn=1+3+4+7+...+Ln=L(n+2) - 3 using mathematical induction

-
1st : it is not a hyperbola

2nd : range is (0 , ∞ ) since lim f {x---> - ∞} = 0 and lim f { x---> ∞ } = ∞

3rd : what is the reason for the last statement ?

-
No I have to prove that relationship using mathematical induction
