The diagonal of a rectangle measures 25cm. The width of the rectangle is 7cm. Find the length of the rectangle in cm.
Can some explain how to do this?

Use Pythagoras Theorem
diagonal^2 = length^2 + width^2
25^2 = L^2 + 7^2
L^2 = 25^2 - 7^2
= 625 - 49
= 576
L = 576^1/2
= 24 cm
So length is 24 cm
diagonal^2 = length^2 + width^2
25^2 = L^2 + 7^2
L^2 = 25^2 - 7^2
= 625 - 49
= 576
L = 576^1/2
= 24 cm
So length is 24 cm

you would add 25+25+7+7=64cm
You add each side twice, because one side is 25. it is a parallelogram so the other side has to be 25 so you ad 25+25, same with the 7s....7+7
I Hope I Helped :)

Ask Pithagoras... 25 squared equals 7 squared plus x squared. Solve for x and that's what u wanna
