juts want to know whats so good about electrical engineering..

The short answer is "no".
Now let me explian why:
1) Offshoring of industrial and engineering jobs to low cost centers ala "globalism" has depressed wages.
2) H-1B and L-1 visa are used to import mediocre engineers by shortage shouting corporations. This has also depressed engineering wages. In fact real-dollar salaries for engineers has decline over the last 2 decades.
3) Toxic work environment (literally). Long hours. Poor advancement opportunities.
4) Poor pay compared to other professions.
5) Short career. Many decent engineers face severe age discrimination later in their career. And this includes many of the engineers that came here on H-1B and later converted to green card/citizen.
6) Engineering as a whole is a politically weak profession and the corporations have been taking advantage of this to depress wages.
