The future of the planet is closely tied to that of the Sun. As a result of the steady accumulation of helium at the Sun's core, the star's total luminosity will slowly increase. The luminosity of the Sun will grow by 10% over the next 1.1 Gyr (1.1 billion years) and by 40% over the next 3.5 Gyr.

I answered your other one, but here is the problem: Earth is the most complex living system that we know of. Billions of life forms all intertwined and coexisting ( until humans started to screw with it) Even if we developed the tech to terraform another planet, assuming we could get there first, the very limited biodiversity that our terraform would depend on would be incredibly fragile.
Lets say we wanted trees and grass on this planet, that requires water and CO2. So we develop a way to clean the water and plant a few trees and grasses. Well...now a bacterial disease develops to feed on the abundant single type of grass and limited trees...what now? This is a likely possibility. In the 50's a disease took out entire forests of elm trees in north america. Every tree of that type on the continent had to be imported and redistributed.
In order for us to have that level of technology we need to duplicate ( at some scale) what we have on this planet, if it doesnt exhist elsewhere. We can;t duplicate it if its all destroyed before we figured out a way to get off of the planet, and thats not happening for atleaset 200 years.
