1. In 250 million years there will be a great deal of continental drift. That is the key. The continents started out a a giant super continent--Pangea about 250 million years ago. It is postulated that the continents will drift back together in another 250 million years. So at that time most of the space between the continents will be collapsed. One will press into another so to speak.

2. Africa will force itself against Europe and the Mediterranean Sea will become the Mediterranean mountains so to speak. Think Himalaya mountains caused by the Indian sub-continent pushing into the Asian continent.

3. Southern California is on a separate plate from the rest of North America. It is drifting north. It might wind up in Alaska.

4. The Mediterranean Mountain range.

5. It is expected that Colorado will wind up maybe on the Equator or close to it

6. Who knows what the future will hold?

Well, no one can really predict the future. But from what I've learned, these answers might help:
1. Water; Earth has many organisms which depend on water and without water no one would be here years from now.
2. It will possibly dry out, if not a world flood could possibly take place (global warming/ melting of ice bergs) and rise higher or flood.
3. The southern coast may result of a major earthquake, causing the Southern part of California to break off and become near to Hawaii.
4. Most likely in southern Europe and others parts of the world, more machinery and technology will be created.
5. Years from now, community won't be as dependent on each other as now. The more technology, the more community would lack social skills. (Not in all cases, but some.)
6. If all social networks were to slowly become less dependent on technology.
