Why is blood flowing in capillary considered a heterogeneous mixture

Mentioning colloidals in this answer only confuses the answer. Blood is heterogenous because it is made of many different things that do not dissolve into solution.......
i just thought it was homogenous, since we only see one thing.

-
A homogeneous mixture (solution or colloid are examples) does not settle out by way of gravity, a heterogeneous mixture does. Allowing blood to stand undisturbed creates a visible separation as the formed element (mainly red blood cells) settles to the bottom. This process can be sped up by using a centrifuge.

What you see when blood stands undisturbed is clotting. Which is a reaction caused by the clotting factors. Mentioning colloidals in this answer only confuses the answer. Blood is heterogenous because it is made of many different things that do not dissolve into solution.
