What are the physical properties of Butane

For a science report I'll need to list the phsycal properties of Butane;

- where the compound occurrs (naturally or commercially)
- applications for the compound (environmental, industrial, and physiological).

Oh and whats Butanes state of matter at room temperature? I'm confused because it says that it is liquid and other websites say its a gas...

I've already done a report for other compounds, but I can't find a lot about Butane -- please help! D:

it is a gas. one physical property is the fact that is a gas and the smell is another physical property. it should be alkane because of the ending i think. well u can compress gasses to make them solid which is also physical property. at room temperature is a gas unless u compress under atmospheric pressure.

I did what you should do before asking in Yahoo . I entered butane in Google and I was immediately led to all the data you can possibly require. This is research that you can do yourself - do not expect somebody else in Yahoo to do this for you.
