First of all,compounds do not have a charge. They are neutral. You mean radicals, which are a group of atoms that have their own chemical and physical properties. There is no easy way. You must learn the formula, names and valences of of quite a few common radicals.
Like PO4-3, PO3-2 , OH-, NO3- SO2-; CLO3-, ClO4- ClO2-, ClO-, BrO3. - C2H3O2-. C2O42-. SO4^2-
