We're working with the activity series. One of my problems is:
"Write the balanced net ionic equation of the reaction of zinc with Pb(2+)(aq)." How do I do this? I'm confused since both Zn and Pb have a charge of 2+.

Start by doing something more ordinary.
Zn + PbCl2 ===> Pb + ZnCl2
The activity series tells you this is going to work. Zn is above Pb if both are reducing agents and lower if Zn+2 and Pb2+ are the left hand members.
In any event the equation you seek looks like this.
Zn + Pb2+ ===> Zn2+ + Pb.
Zn + PbCl2 ===> Pb + ZnCl2
