108 M solution at 30 C if three moles of ions are produced in aqueous solution for every mole of solute dissolved?Π = nRT/V with n/V = concentration in moles/m^3 if we stay in the m/kg/s system.You have 3*0.Π =324 mol/m^3 * 8,314 J/(molK) * 303.Π = 816 606 Pa = 816 606/103 000 atm = 7.......
What is the osmotic pressure in mmHg of 6.00 L of a 0.108 M solution at 30 C if three moles of ions are produced in aqueous solution for every mole of solute dissolved?

Please explain how to do this problem and show work

Hello

the equation is equal to the gas law:
Π = nRT/V with n/V = concentration in moles/m^3 if we stay in the m/kg/s system.

You have 3*0.108 moles ion/L = 324 moles/m^3
Π =324 mol/m^3 * 8,314 J/(molK) * 303.15°K
Π = 816 606 Pa = 816 606/103 000 atm = 7.928 atm
