Compare the magnitude of the hydroxide-ion concentration of a solution that has a pOH of 2.65 with that of a second solution that has a pOH of 4.65

pH is a logarithmic measure of concentration.Therefore the ratio of the concentrations (ie one divided by the other) is the DIFFERENCE between the logarithms.i.e. the 2.65 solution (lower pH therefore higher OH concentration) is antilog (4.65 - 2.5) more concentrated - ie 100 times (10 ^ 2)

as hydroxide ion is OH- ions. and in pH scale the more the value the more is the basic nature ,therefore more concentration of hydroxide ions.therefore second solution has more concentration of hydoxide ion..almost about 100 percent more
