Pleasee Help me I don't know What to do and this is for an on-line course so I dont have a teacher helping me:

1) Identify the repeating unit

2)Name and draw the structural formula of th two-carbon alkane that is the monomer of this polymer

1). Repeating unit is - CF2-
2). Ethene H2C = CH2
NB is is NOT an Alkane but an ALKENE Note the spelling , it is critical in organic chemistry. There is also another functional group viz. ALKYNE.

The repeating unit is -CF2-CF2- and the original monomer is tertafluoroethene, F2C=CF2.
