Step 3 net ionic equation
(2Ag+) (aq) + (2OH-) (aq) yields 2AgOH (s)
cancel the ions that are EXACTLY the same on both sides and you will end up with this.
The net ionic equation basically shows exactly what is going on at the ionic level.
You probably still have questions, but nevermind, just read the thing over again and I'm sure you will get it. It's not that tough.
I can't be bothered to do the second one on a keyboard. Took me forever to do the first one.
It's basically the same, try it yourself! It's easier than question 1 since they already have the equation written out. You can start at step 2.
Hint: The H2O is in liquid state, not aqueous. When you write the full ionic equation do not separate it into H and O, leave it as H2O since H2O is not dissolved. Only split up the dissolved compounds since at the ionic level, the ions split up when they are dissolved.
Good luck! I spent like half an hour typing this.
