Calculate the number of grams of oxygen required to convert 48 grams of glucose to CO_2 and H_2O.

okay, it's basically about the moles;
moles = mass/molar mass
so there is 48 g of glucose and the molar mass of glucose = 12x6+1x12+16x6 = 180 (I hope you know how to find molar mass. just multiply the number of atoms by its atomic mass which is found from the periodic table)
now find the moles of glucose = 48/180 = 0.267(3s.f)
so for 1 mole of gluecose you need 6 moles of O2 so find howmant moles of O2 you need for 0.267moles of glucose by 6x0.267 = 1.602moles
now use the moles=mass/molar mass formular to find the grams of O2 since you found the moles of O2 and you can find the molar mass(rearrange the formula)
mass=molesxmolar mass
mass = 1.602x (16x2) = 51.264 grams (i'm not sure if its correct to use this method since O2 is a gas. but this is the method you use)
use the same method to find the grams of CO2
so it's the same number of moles as O2 since the ratio O2:CO2 = 1:1 so multiply the moles my molar mass.
