Why do we see droplets of water on the outer surface of glass containing ice cold water??

[From: ] [author: ] [Date: 11-05-26] [Hit: ]
In the desert theres no water in the air and may never form water on the glass.-Condensation my friend. When warm air meets cold air the air condenses into small water particles. Thats why when you wake up there is dew on the grass.......
Chapter- Matter

-
When water vapour in the air comes into contact with the colder surface of the glass, it condenses with it and forms water droplets. :)

-
the air outside the glass is warmer and contains water. The heat in the air helps the air hold the water. The cold glass absorbs some btus (heat energy) from the outside air and cools it off and make it less able to hold water. So the air touching the glass is being cooled and water is left. In most climates. In the desert theres no water in the air and may never form water on the glass.
