There is a difference between a drug that is addictive and one that is habitual. Addictive drug use causes physiological dependence so abstinence produces debilitating withdrawal symptoms. Psychoactive drugs exist that do not physiologically change the brain by the use, so do not produce withdrawal symptoms.
People with emotional problems can become habituated to marijuana as a crutch but even chronic misuse of marijuana's cannabinoids does not cause physiologic withdrawal symptoms. Cannabinoids are not addictive, their use does not cause physiological dependence. That does not mean there is no drug dependence or other problems with chronic non-medical use, just no physiologic addiction. It is not the drug use but the underlying condition that is the problem.

it is not addictive in the sense your body says you need it like cigarettes or like cocaine but it can be psychological addicting like you may think you needed but you really could go without it without DTs. That is the only way possible that marijuana could be considered addicting but in reality it really is not addicting at all true fully.

It's hardly addictive at all.
There are people who make themselves into gluttons with it, but that's not addiction. They're just pigs with no self control. It's no different than pigging out on ice cream, junk food, tv or anything else.
These are behavioral problems, sure, but they're not addiction. Addiction is a physical, medical reaction that occurs when the habit is interrupted. Heroin is addictive. Cigarettes are (somewhat) addictive. Alcohol is addictive (you can die from alcohol withdrawal). Marijuana, if it's addictive at all, is less addictive than cigarettes.

Actually marijuana isn't addictive at all. You may be surprised because of how many people do it. But truth is they could stop at any time, they just choose not to. An addiction is when you want to stop but find it highly difficult to. In the case of marijuana people just choose not to stop because they like the "high". But in actuality nothing about it keeps a person hooked on it.

Only habitually so. THC is an addictive drug just like any other, BUT the difference is that THC is stored in your fat cells. So even when you are not smoking, small amounts of THC is being released into your body as you naturally burn calories.

It's not physically addictive, it just feels good and relaxes people so you can say it's mildly psychologically addictive.
I've smoked and walked away from it very easily off and on all my life. So for me, it's not.
