What are some factors that may slow down or speed up the rate of photosynthesis

[From: ] [author: ] [Date: 11-12-29] [Hit: ]
blue and a portion of red light produce the highest rate.Other colors are poorly absorbed and would produce very little photosynthesis.3.Concentration of carbon dioxide:The higher the concentration the faster the rate up to the point of saturation.4.Temperature:The higher the temperature the faster the rate up to the point that heat damages the enzymes and stops the processes.......
Explain how each will do so.

-
1. Intensity of sunlight. The higher the intensity the faster the rate up to the point that the metabolic pathways are saturated.
2. Color of light: Violet, blue and a portion of red light produce the highest rate. Other colors are poorly absorbed and would produce very little photosynthesis.
3. Concentration of carbon dioxide: The higher the concentration the faster the rate up to the point of saturation.
4. Temperature: The higher the temperature the faster the rate up to the point that heat damages the enzymes and stops the processes.
5. Availability of water: Water is used to cool the interior of the leaves by evaporation of water to maintain the best temperature for photosynthesis.
6. Availability of minerals: Minerals are needed to form organic molecules such a pigments, ATP, DNA, proteins, etc. Shortage of any of these minerals can slow the rate of photosynthesis and cause poor growth.
7. pH of the soil and water: pH affects the availability of minerals in the soil. Alkaline soils often have insoluble iron causing deficiency in the leaves of plants.

I feel that

No sunlight

Freezing flowers

Damage of chloroplats

Nutirnets needed for photosynthesis

This is the reason for slow photosynthesis........

&
* Photosynthesis is the combining of CO2 and water to make glucose. This means that, within limits, the more CO2 the faster the rate of photosynthesis.

I think it depends on the photo developing company. I know CVS does theirs pretty fast. I'm not sure about some of the others. I suppose if you tried to synthesize them yourself in a dark room it would take longer, but once again I'm not sure. Hey did you ever see that movie where Robin Williams worked at one of those photo developing places and he got the pictures of that lady and he was all trying to creep on her, that was creepy, am I right?

Don't listen to andre... he's a martian.

And idk maybe the concentration of the enzymes? And the concentration of the substrates. And the temperature will also speed up the rate of photosynthesis.

-
Temperature: higher the temp, higher will be the rate of photosynthesis and lower the temperature, lower will be the rate of photosynthesis.
