Neurons send messages by action potentials which is really just an electrical spike that travels down the neuron. The information is passed from neuron to neuron by neurotransmitters which are small molecules that carry information across the gap between the cells called "synapses." The information eventually gets to a certain area of the brain called the parietal lobe which is near the top of your brain.
