Firstly, in response to the guy that just answered, different journals definitely have different impact factors. The more well known journals have higher readerships, more money and better staff so they only publish well-researched ground breaking science. Other journals may only publish research which is less interesting, has less scientific importance or has faulty methodologies or reasoning.

Science and Nature are the two highest impact science journals in the world. They publish research from all sciences and are very widely read. Even though they aren't specifically bio journals a bio article published in science or nature would have a greater impact than one published in a bio journal. PNAS also publishes research from all sciences but is not quite as big as the others.

The next biggest for biosciences is cell. Cell is a journal which specialises in biochemistry, molecular biology and cellular biology. It is very big.

There are many other big biology journals and most of them specialise in different areas of biology. I'm not going to name them all so you'll have to google them.

To answer your question I would say the biggest three are science, nature and cell.

I wouldn't have thought any journal would have a higher impact, presumably they would all post fact and theories to the best of their knowledge.
