its when you try to breed the physically/mentally gifted people and at the same time kill/sterilize the handicapped/retarded/genetically deformed people. Over timeyou would theoretically have a gifted stronger race of human, but no one that can shoot optic beams out of their eyes-we can manipulate geneshowever according to your question, no we can only mutate to a certain point otherwise begin to introduce harmful mutations. its basically a balance between how fast our genetic repair machinery can fix mistakes vs mistakes being madeif the the number of mistakes exceeds the speed of our repair machinery then we die-well yes it is possible. its forcible evolution.......
In general, once the human genome is completely mapped and we know how proteins fold, there's almost no limit to the type of human that could be created. As long as it's within the limits of the laws of physics, that is.

its called Eugenics, its when you try to breed the physically/mentally gifted people and at the same time kill/sterilize the handicapped/retarded/genetically deformed people. Over time you would theoretically have a gifted stronger race of human, but no one that can shoot optic beams out of their eyes

well yes it is possible. its forcible evolution. genetic scientist can tamper genes causing chickens to grow longer tales etc. it would be a lengthy process and would take decades if not centuries of tampering with each descendant of the originally mutated to get effective results.

Yes your idea is entirely plausible. Yay you. Congratulations, with a little more research you could be a Nobel prize winner.
-
Impossible.... Thats absolutely imagination....But no one can judge science it may be possible in future.
-
yes it could be kinda possible if you choose genes that enhances certain protein production or signal transduction pathways that affect that one strength positively
but there is no way we could do it to the point where they'd be like x-men
-
not possible but possible only in novels and films.
-
Most likely, this reminds me of the movie Splice it has alot of what you are talking about.
