Are chromosomes used in asexual reproduction

why dont plants have chromosomess?? how do plants reproduce? they germinate right? so is that asexual reproduction?

also mitosis is asexual and meiosis is sexual right?

but meiosis-2 is exactly like mitosis so how does it make that sexual? more on that please?

To add on, chromosomes contain genetic information, right? Even if reproduction will be asexual the offspring will still need all the genes. They just don't get any new chromosomes with new information.

Some plants can reproduce asexually by various methods. Bamboo is a good example. If you plant a stick of bamboo, it will take root. The root will generate new shoots. These are clones of the parent plant.

Some plants like tea can be cut and planted and will grow into a whole new plant. Again a clone.

you are right , meiosis 2 is exactly like mitosis , but the difference is , when the two cells separate in meiosis, it will be a half-pair chromosome.so it's 1n chromosome.
BUT in an other hand , in mitoses , when they separate , the half pair , will duplicated him self , to be 2n chromosome

Plants do have chromosomes. They usually reproduce by pollen from a male plant fertilizing a seed on a female plant. Meiosis begins with a sperm and an egg from a male and female animal. which come together to produce a new unique genetic sequence. Animals achieve this with sex. With mitosis the new cells would be identical to the parent cell.
