G2, S or G0?Explain why please? Thanks in advance-G0,S : depending on their position in the S phase, cells can have 3 to 6 pg.......
Measurements of the amount of DNA per nucleus were taken on a large number of cells from a growing fungus. The measured DNA levels ranged between 3 and 6 picograms per nucleus. In which stage of the cell cycle was the nucleus with 6 picograms of DNA?
G1, M, G2, S or G0?

Explain why please?
Thanks in advance

G0, G1: the cell has 3pg of DNA
S : depending on their position in the S phase, cells can have 3 to 6 pg.
G2: DNA replication has ended. Cells should have 6pg
M: cells have 6pg until they actually divide (telophase) > 3pg for each

This is just a consequence of DNA replication being the step when DNA is duplicated (amount X2), and M phase being the phase when division occurs (amount /2)
