The old "cut an x and suck out the venom" trick is highly not recommended any more; it's more dangerous mostly than just getting to a hospital. Anti-venom when appropriate is one treatment, and other sorts of treatment are done, depending on the effect of the venom.
Your spider question might refer to a Green Lynx Spider, depending on where you live, but there are other green spiders. None of them are at all dangerous to people though.

When you get a snake bite, you go to the hospital and are put on anti-venom. The same goes for a black widow, brown widow, or brown recluse spider bite. You stay in the hospital until the toxin is out of your system. The time during this you can experience incrediable body pains.
As for the spider question, have no idea.
