RNA is a ribose=pentose its molecular formula is C5 H10 O5, while DNA is a Deoxyribose which means an oxygen is removed(C5 H10 O4)

Danny, the better key to it not being DNA is that there is uracil, which is in mRNA, but not in DNA.
