NASA does a lot of aeronautical, atmospheric, and meteorological research, both on its own and in conjunction with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), as well as with the Department of Defense.

az_lender say: Nobody knows what you mean by "NASA expertise." I received NASA grants that had nothing to do with rocket ships and everything to do with atmospheric science. Of course "meteorology" is not the only atmospheric science.
