The orbits of all asteroids bigger than a few kilometers have been computed.
None are going to hit earth for at least 100 years.
The same is true for the large comets. However a new comet appears occasionally - coming from far beyond the orbit of the outer most planet.
The earth has life on it and has had life continuously for more than 3 billion years. Thus, life ending collisions with asteroids or comets are very rare events. Not something that is expected in the next 5 years or even 5,000 years.

Comets, on the other hand, are a different matter. There are trillions of them in the Oort cloud and if one gets knocked into an Earth-destroying trajectory, we would have only a couple month's warning, at best.
