The argument that aliens do not exist in the universe is as presumptuous as the argument that they do exist. It is intellectually dishonest to pretend to have knowledge that we do not yet have - the only honest answer is we currently do not know.

Why assume that aliens would interact with the government rather than ordinary people? There would be no reason for them to do that if they had contacted us. There may be life on Mars but various factors prevent the assertion of that possibility such as lack of corroboration.
