Many people WANT to believe in ancient aliens. They will accept anything to support that belief. This includes books written by Sitchin or hoaxes posted on the internet.
Despite all of the advances in modern archeology there has been nothing found in the past 44 years to offer any support whatsoever for Sitchins outrageous lies. Never any of the massive gold digging sites. Not any technological machinery or tool or even alien clothing. Never any bodies found of the aliens Sitchin claims remained behind on our planet. Never any mysterious blood types or DNA of the persons supposedly decended from the aliens who stayed. We are finding planets around other stars in our galaxy but amazingly never any sign of any planet matching the supposed orbital path of Nibiru. Yet for those who want to believe, confirmation exists in a youtube video.
Every time the approach of the fictional planet is hoaxed, believers justify their hopes by claiming: a massive cover-up between all governments of the world and the millions of private astronomers; NASA is projecting a false image onto the sky to make us think we are looking at stars instead of Nibiru; Nibiru can't be seen because it is behind the Sun or is in the southernmost skies. The believers will buy almost any excuse no matter how ludicrous.
We must be cautious of beliefs. We must always question them. And we must be honest to ourselves when beliefs lack any proofs or evidence lest we fall into the trap of deceiving ourselves and being misled by others seeking financial gain or fame or who are perhaps mentally deranged.
