Who would win in a 200 meter race: An average Cheetah, or Usain Bolt? Bolt could be the fastest of all time.

Would it be serious? Would it be close?

A cheetah can sustain 70 mph speeds for a half a minute. Bolt's top speed was around 27 mph during his fastest ever race.

A cheetah can go zero to 60 in 3 seconds - that's about the same as the larger engine sports cars.

Bolt would be dinner for a cheetah.

The cheetah has more legs, therefore it can accelerate up to top speed faster than a human.

On a side note, this reminds me of the conversation between two lions as they were eating an athlete they just hunted down: "I love fast food".

The cheetah hands down. The cheetah isn't only fast it also has an huge acceleration. A cheetah can do 0 to 60 in about the same time it would take a Ferrari.

200 meter race:

Usain Bolt 19 seconds
Cheetah 7 seconds

Cheetah - Top speed: ~70 MPH.
Bolt - Top speed: ~ 30+MPH.

The tortoise would win.
