Since Mercury is the smallest, it would cool the fastest. Since the sun constantly heats it, the term 'cooled' is relative. Mercury would have to cool down from a molten ball of slag to a hot rock, so it didn't have that much cooling to do.

And terrestrial planet just means a rocky planet as opposed to a gaseous one. That other guy who answered should really read up on astronomical terminology.

Mars doesn't have enough mass to insulate it's liquid outer core to keep it from fractionally crystallizing.
