Which of the two following compounds will exhibit hydrogen bonding: Ethanol or Iso-octane? Why

Ethanol because it contains an oxygen - hydrogen bond which is required for the formation of hydrogen bonding. Iso octane or any other hydrocarbon have no oxygen atoms at all so there is no possibility for hydrogen bonding.
