Elenin wasn't a letdown. It was never expected to be anything special. The woo-woo crowd got hold of it and blew it into an end-of-the-world scare, but that's the only reason it became well-known.
Last I heard, Levy was predicted to reach mag 7 in January, which makes it a binocular target, but not naked-eye. They can't be predicted completely accurately, but they're usually on the right order. So it won't be an eye-opener, but something can only be a fizzer if it's expected to be fantastic in the first place.
