com/-It was either an Iridium flare (from the iridium satellite array) or a shooting star. they are fun to watch and if you dont know what they are, the sure do look strange-It could have been a satelite, or the spacestation if your lucky! I hear the space station is actually really bright on a clear night, and moves quite fast!......
You see, aliens do not exist. Zombies do, though.

What you are seeing is not UFOs, you are seeing satellites in high Earth orbit.
I used to watch them all the time when I was younger.
For the people that answered it could be comets - comets are visible for days or weeks over the entire planet and don't move in the sky in minutes.

Whoopee, you saw something in sky that you cannot identify. Try one of the following: satellite, IDRISI (satellite) flash, ISS passover.

It sounds like you saw a couple satellites. Satellites in orbit can often be seen from the ground and they just look like stars moving across the sky. I once saw the Space Shuttle and Space Station pass over. They looked like very bright stars moving across the sky, taking a few minutes to cross the whole sky, one following a few minutes after the other in the same path. The source will tell you when they last passed over your location and also when they will next pass over. But there are any number of satellites that can be seen, not just the space station and shuttle. The space station is by far the brightest one though, since it is so big.
