we have no idea everything you read about light and speed of light is THEORY even though it is often presented as fact currently we have no propulsion system that would get anywhere near the speed of light and the acceleration required to get there in a reasonable time would squash humans like a bug

Will humans ever build a ship that can travel at the speed of light?
Not in your lifetime. We can't even solve our energy problems dealing with cars. A ship traveling at the speed of light would require a lot of energy. I also believe no human could sustain traveling at such a speed.

Maybe in like 10,000 years (minimum). Our fastest airplane is the X-43 by NASA which travels at 7,000mph which is about 3,129.28 m/s. The speed of light is 300,000,000 m/s (meters per second) so we aren't even close.
Our chances go up if another species who's technology is great visits us though :-)

Seriously. It's impossible to travel at the speed of light. It's described by the theory of relativity. Traveling at the speed of light actually means traveling at infinite speed.

No it is scientifically impossible to build a craft to travel at the speed of light since for anything to travel at the speed of light it requires an infinite amount of energy.

yeahh.....at like 2040! jk....we don't know....maybe...evenually....if they do test it out then they'll prob crash to a rock or something because they can't stop it in time...oh and i remember one ship like time traveled or something and people where connected to parts of the ship...so it's not a good idea

People need to remember we thought alot of things were scientificly impossible. But we proved that wrong, and yes i think one day we might. Not in are generation or even are grandchildrens generation. Someday
