Our nearest star is a black hole?

the nearest star to our Sun is Proxima Centauri. The black hole that youre referring to is at the center of our galaxy and is no threat to us. And no, our Sun is not massive enough to turn into a black hole. Itll turn into a white dwarf when itll die.-Dude we got like another ten thousandyears before the sun dies,......
came from , because I saw it before I was in a hospital and a nursing home for slightly more than 5 months. It had to be at least a marginally reliable source for me to bother remembering the 2.5 billion year figure I scanned. I don't waste whatever limited memory space that I may or may not have left after 58 years and counting of life on figures from unreliable sources.

Only certain one's become black holes. They go into dwarfs (white or blue, I forget which leads to which), but one burns out and leaves a nebula to create a new star, the other implodes into a black hole. I'm pretty sure the Sun is a burn out one, but it's okay, we'll all die by the red giant explosion it goes through before we can see for sure, so there's no way I could be proven wrong! :)

Wrong, the nearest star to our Sun is Proxima Centauri. The black hole that you're referring to is at the center of our galaxy and is no threat to us. And no, our Sun is not massive enough to turn into a black hole. It'll turn into a white dwarf when it'll "die".

Dude we got like another ten thousand
years before the sun dies, thank god we die before it does. Yeh it'll be a black hole, but it's gonna kill us all by just exploding and burning the living he'll out of the planets when it explodes.

No it won't. Doesn't have enough mass, when it dies it will expand into a red giant probably engulfing the first 3 planets, then the expanding gas will drift off leaving a white dwarf star.

yes.
when the sun dies, it will explode (yep, we're screwed).
and after that, it will become a black hole and sucks everything into singularity (earth survivors screwed for good this time)

I do not think so
