Breed goats or sheep?
Should I breed goats or sheep. Goats are for pets, and I would sell the babies or the males. The sheep are for wool and sell the male babies. i have had both before, really easy money. Most of my goats had triplets and my sheep had twins or singles. The reason why I don't have them anymore is because my dad...

Doug Freyburger say: Goats are easier to feed on weeds. Sheep need plenty of grass in the mix. If you have a hill with bushes, goats are your choice.
Both goats and sheep make wool if you pick the bred right. Goats make less but it's more expensive. Nearly a wash here.
Both goats and sheep make meat. I happen to prefer goat meat but virtually everyone in western society outside of Texas or Mexico prefers lamb meat to kid meat. This suggests sheep.
Look at your land. Hills suggest goats. Flat suggests sheep. Not a lot of difference otherwise.

Dobiegal say: both can also be butchered but goats are better for dairy production.

Zirp say: maybe neither. We have no way of knowing "the market" in your neighbourhood.
Where I live, owners of land can hire a herd of sheep with a few goats in them, to do landscape maintenance (parks, heather)
