I have a feeling that it's the dog but I'm not sure

Dogs were first domesticated in East Asia, but cats were first domesticated in the Middle East, where agriculture was first invented. The cats performed an important function, as they kept the rodents (which eat the crops and stored grain) in check. Dogs may have done the same job, but evidence suggests that they may have been domesticated for the dinner plate, because the oldest dog fossils were found in Swiss caves around 14,000 years ago. Since cave people don't grow crops and the ice age hasn't ended by then, these dogs may have been domesticated as sources of meat, if they were indeed domesticated dogs. Further, the oldest known fossil dog in the New World , dated at 9400 years old, also appeared to have been eaten.

The oldest domestic cat known appeared to have been a pet.
"...in 2004, French archaeologists uncovered a 9500 year-old burial site in what had been newly agricultural Cyprus containing both human and cat remains. This sparked the question of whether cats and humans began to co-habitat much earlier."

So, it is quite possible that dogs were domesticated before the ice age ended as food animals, but cats were the first animal domesticated as pets.

Fossil remains show it was dog, then goat.

I'd say dogs, because they helped in hunting.
If the cattle was first, than why domesticating wolfs?
