Centipedes, spiders and insects are my greatest fear and 3 days ago I seen one in my room and it ran behind somewhere and I haven't seen it since. Why cant it just stay in one spot long enough for me to kill it? I mean, it has big enough balls to come into my room and crawl all over the place to creep me out but then they bxtch and run when I get ready to kill them. Wtf.

House centipedes are just like spiders. they only react to a natural instinct for survival and propagation of the species. Their survival being predators means they eat to survive, but also avoid predation themselves. These critters don't even know humans exist. to them, we are either a threat to their survival, or we are not. A centipede or spiders can crawl all over your room or even you for that matter, and unless it is threatened at all, will just go about it own way, totally oblivious to human presence.
The moment there is a threat, they run. Likely the critter has found another place where it can hunt for insects to eat, but don't be surprised if it wanders out from under the refrigerator.
They have very poor eyesight, so when they see a large movement from a human, they cant tell it from something like a bird that would eat them. Run and hide is how they try to survive.
That little spider strolling across the floor would crawl right over your foot and just continue on its way, but move your foot, and its outta there.
A little house spider was crawling across my desk and put my hand down where it would crawl onto my hand. I let it crawl hand to hand until it stopped, and I grabbed my camera and got this:
