Today, we came into our property to find a red-tailed hawk lying in the field. When we neared him, he did make any movement, and he keeps bowing his head and looking down. We know not to approach him because of the talons and the beak. We have no idea what to do, and what makes it worse is that we are in the middle of heavy rainstorm at the exact moment of me typing the question.
ANY help or advice would be appreciated! The poor guy looks like a baby hawk, and we're not sure if he'll survive the storm as it worsens.

If you live near a zoo, they probably have an expert in birds, maybe even expert in raptors.
If you live near a university, they may have a Raptor expert, Biology, Ornithology, something like that.
You can call your local animal shelter, if they do not handle birds themselves, they may know someone who does.
You could call a local vet. Vets who handle pets probably work with birds.

Usually raptors are handled with leather gloved hands. The talons are the dangerous body part, so securing the bird by its legs is paramount. One has to grab both simultaneous or risk being wounded. The gloves don't protect you from the talons..

Get a shoe box and tissues pick him up with gloves and put him in the book in like a patio or arts with an overhead when he is healed he will fly away.
