what else makes these chimaera fish different? thankyou!1.2. they have separate anal and urogenital openings so, unlike sharks,......
chimaera fish are closely related to sharks and rays,
and i have to list three things that make them different from sharks and rays.
so far i have one;
that they have one gill opening on each side of their head, covered by a flap.
sharks and rays dont. what else makes these chimaera fish different? thankyou!

Other differences include:

1. the upper jaw is fused with the skull
2. they have separate anal and urogenital openings so, unlike sharks, the eggs emerge from an opening separate from the feces.

They didn't star in Jaws, and they don't share their name with a sunbeam
