There's a Canadian goose who lives in the back of my campus at school (which is basically a large grassy area that eventually leads to a forest.) She's been there for almost two months, but there are no other geese around. I can tell she's the same one because there's a feather sticking up on her right wing, and because of the fact she's so friendly. If I hold out my hand to her, she'll come over to me, and if I sit down at the table out there she'll sit next to me. I like spending time with her, but I worry for her. I'm worried that another student won't be as nice as I am (though she's lived there for a long time without a problem.) and I'm also worried about the fact that she has no flock. Is something wrong with her? I know she can fly, because I've seen it myself (one time she flew across the field to me) but I don't know if she can fly well or for how long. Is it natural for a goose to have no flock?

I don't think it's normal for a Goose, such as this one, to be alone. In fact I think they mate for life. I don't know why this particular one would be alone like this. Maybe injured.....maybe sick.....not sure.
