Work for animal lover

I used to want to be a veterinarian but medical science does not interest me, and being responsible for the lives of hurt animals scares me.

What can someone who loves animals do for a living? I would love to know some of your ideas

I'm actually enrolling into college to be a veterinarian, because i love animals too. : )
But if you don't think that a veterinarian is the right occupation for you, perhaps a dog sitter, or pet sitter , or maybe even a nurse in some veterinary offices. : )
