How likely is a power outage during the snow storm? I'm asking again because you guys said you'd more details?
Its a small town Moore field west Virginia.

billrussell42 say: Ask your neighbors, it depends on local conditions, and also on the storm. Snow on the wires in itself will do no damage. But winds can cause tree limbs to break wires. An very wet snow could accumulate as ice on the wires under the right conditions, causing them to break. But more likely is snow accumulation on tree limbs, causing them break and hit wires.

Bottom line, most outages are caused by trees or tree limbs hitting the wires.

I've lived in areas where all the wires are underground, never an outage. Also in a area with overhead wires in a small city. Occasional outage but always fixed within a few hours.
Also in a area with very few houses. An outage there takes days to fix. It's all in priorities. If they have lots of outages, they concentrate repair services on lines with most houses. I was one of 3 houses on the end of the line.
