How should i study derivations? How can i remember them?

you must first understand the derivations, then, practice them once by writing them by looking at the steps given in the book and later without looking at the book visualise the steps in your mind. if u forget any step, then look at the book and start from d beginning. and at last try to write them on ur own in practice widout looking at book and if u forget then do d same as u did while visualising.

i suggest first write all the variables and their meaning before starting the derivation(often teachers mark zero if that is absent). even if you don't remember the whole steps of derivations, try to visualize what is the real life significance of the derivation, and if the situation is desperate(you don't know how to derive the relation at all), write your own version, i.e. how you would have derived it(keeping in mind basic rules of maths and physics). this often works.
