Physics simple question: if a plane comes in for a landing...

-Ok, so, if V=Vi + at, and V=0 (it came to a stop) and Vi = 60 m/s and t= 15s,0=60 + (a)(15), so then we can move the 60 over and have 60= (a)(15).......
If a plane comes in for a landing, it's initial speed is 60m/s. If it takes 15seconds to brake to a stop, what was the planes average acceleration?

Ok, so, if V=Vi + at, and V=0 (it came to a stop) and Vi = 60 m/s and t= 15s, then we have the equation
0=60 + (a)(15), so then we can move the 60 over and have 60 = (a)(15). We can then divide both sides by 15 to get a. 60/15=a.
a=-4 m/s^2

-
Acceleration = (v/t) = 60/15, = -4m/sec^2.
