How do I calculate liquid fill weight with a known specific gravity

but just multiply times 0.71 kg to get the mass of 24 fluid ounces of your liquid.......
I want to fill a bottle to 24 fl oz and I need to weight it on a analytical scale (g).

Hello

Specific Gravity (SG) = Density of liquid / Density of water

And Density of Liquid = Mass (M) / Volume (V)

So SG = (M/V) / Density of water

now just solve for M

M = SG * V * Density of water

Density of water = 1 kg/1 liter

Now you just need a conversion between metric volume and onces

I assume they are us fluid ounces/

1 liter = 33.81 ounces

M = SG * V * Density of water

M = SG * 24 ounces * 1 kg/liter * (1 liter/33.81 ounces)

M = 0.71 kg * SG

There you go, you didn't say the SG, but just multiply times 0.71 kg to get the mass of 24 fluid ounces of your liquid.

GOod Luck
