i am watching this documentary on national geographic and the guy is taking about a mission on an aircraft and that they have pressure suits he said "above 50,000 ft your blood boils without the pressurization suits" i wasnt aware blood could boil under any circumstances so is this likely true or false?
-
True. In a vacuum or near vacuum like 50k feet, water cannot exist as a liquid, it goes immediately to the vapor state, i.e., boils.
However, blood inside the body is not immediately exposed to a vacuum, that keeps it from boiling for minutes at least.

That sounds about right.
If you are exposed to low pressures like that, a lot of nasty things happen.
