Let me guess, you were titrating some of the purple liquid during an experiment to get DNA from an onion or something similar, and you accidently spilled some of the purple stuff on your hand, and now it won't wash off. Well, first of all don't worry, you'll live. That purple stain on your skin will come off with a bit of lemon juice or some citrus based dish wash liquid. Potassium Per is an oxidizer but a mild one so it's not gonna kill you if you get a bit on your person.

I don't think it's very dangerous! After all, it is also used to purify water. It is also used as an disinfectant and also used to decrease the blackening of fruits such as bananas by packing it with bananas in a polyethylene bag!
But you should always ask an expert before using it....!! :)

I've used that in Chem 101, so it can't be that dangerous if they let n00bs like me handle it.
If I remember correctly though, I used it in titrations. One time the damn nob on the burette was loose and got all over my station and hands. It dissolved my lab paper (when I looked the next day), kind of stung after a while on my hand. I remember my teacher asking me why I didn't care that I had it all over myself, but it really doesn't do much of anything to the human body.
It's definitely worth noting, however, that the danger depends on how you're using it. There are many 'safe' substances out there that can be quite dangerous if used in the right chemical reaction or put under just the right amount of physical stress.
